Dear AHRC Families, Staff and Friends,

As Long Island begins Phase 1 re-openings, we are also in the process of  preparing for how we can safely welcome the people we support and our staff back to our programs. Safety, health and well-being are being carefully considered by a committee of senior staff on several key areas, in full compliance with regulatory agencies.  While we remain focused on our mission, these new health considerations will be integrated into policies and procedures as we move forward.

As we do so, we think of the frontline workers who helped us get to this point. We think of the doctors, nurses, clinicians and dedicated administrative staff at Advantage Care Health Centers as well as AHRC’s exceptional clinical team, administrators, and direct support professionals (DSPs). Within our community and beyond, we honor these essential workers for their skill and determination to support us through these challenging times. Please continue to share your appreciation on Facebook and Instagram – it is a meaningful way we can come together to express our thanks.

On a certainly brighter side, on June 5, AHRC Foundation will be holding their 70^th annual Rose Ball – this year, virtually.  It is a testament to the can-do spirit of its leadership and the importance of the resources this event makes possible for community providers, including AHRC Nassau.  You might consider joining them at the event or sending your congratulations here.
