In addition, based on recent clarification from the New York State Education Department (NYSED), all students over the age of 2 are required to wear face coverings in program. BCCS programs are NYSED approved programs and are also licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). As such all programs are required to adhere to the stricter DOH standard applicable and face coverings are required for students over the age of 2 years. Please note BCCS will work with each child individually at their level/ability using developmentally appropriate curriculum and instruction/practice to build familiarity and ability/tolerance to wear face coverings while in school.
All children over the age of 2 should arrive to school with a face covering and it is recommended to send a spare in case the face covering gets soiled or wet during the day. BCCS will also have a supply of disposable children’s face masks on hand at all times for emergency situations if needed.
We are excited and looking forward to welcoming students back in September and continuing to support our students online. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
